Barrel Aged Coffee

$25.00

Introducing Hawaii's first barrel-aged coffee, a remarkable collaboration between ChadLou's Coffee Roasters and Kō Hana Hawaiian Agricole rum. Located in Kailua, O'ahu, ChadLou's Coffee Roasters, owned by Matt and Sheila Rosete, meticulously source 100% locally grown Hawaiian coffee beans for this unique venture. The beans are then aged in the same rum barrels previously used to age Kō Hana Agricole rum, imparting rich and distinct flavors.

To ensure the perfect infusion, the barrels are rotated daily for approximately 10 days, allowing the coffee beans to absorb the essence of the wood and the lingering notes of rum. Following the aging process, the coffee is expertly roasted to a medium level, resulting in a harmonious and balanced flavor profile.

The end result is an exceptional coffee with a remarkable character. Hawaii's first barrel-aged coffee boasts an earthy essence that is complemented by subtle hints of oak and the delightful warmth of rum from the aging process. Each sip offers a unique sensory experience, where the rich flavors intertwine to create a truly memorable cup of coffee.
